CoolPeel FAQs
CoolPeel safely and comfortably delivers the benefits of a traditional CO2 resurfacing treatment by targeting just the superficial layer of skin tissue in the treatment area, revealing younger and healthier- looking skin.
The CoolPeel Co2 laser offers a customizable approach so you and your provider can decide which treatment is right for you, allowing control over your downtime. It is one of the newest and most advanced CO2 technologies available, featuring customizable treatments, optimized results and minimal downtime.
CO2 lasers are the gold standard in treating wrinkles, age spots, acne scars, and other blemishes, as well as tighten skin and balance tone. Damaged skin tissue is removed, or ablated, stimulating new collagen production, and heat energy is delivered to tighten the skin. This powerful skin rejuvenation sounds great, but CO2 treatments are often accompanied by considerable downtime and complicated aftercare instructions to avoid damage as the skin heals. Many advances have been made to improve the side effects of CO2 treatments but ONLY the CoolPeel® can deliver a fractional ablative treatment with minimal downtime.
A full-face CoolPeel laser peel can take anywhere from 10-15 minutes.
Improves fine lines and wrinkles, reduces pigmentation and sun damage, diminishes acne scars, improves skin texture, tone and skin laxity.
Results and downtime depend on your individual treatment. You and your provider will discuss your desired outcome during your consultation.
After treatment, your provider will walk through what to expect and what steps you should take. We recommend you follow our CoolPeel post-treatment instructions.

Lasers for Brown Spots
Why Use Lasers for Brown Spots?
Laser treatments are an effective way to remove brown spots primarily caused by sun damage and aging but may be caused by other factors.
Laser treatments work by delivering intense but gentle bursts of light. They emit specific wavelengths of light that are absorbed by the melanin-pigmented areas in the dermis. The light causes the spot to darken, then fade and flake off.
Factors such as the age, color, type and location of lesions determine how and if the lesions can be removed. Treatment duration will depend on the condition of the skin and the severity of the problem.
At Riverchase, laser treatments for brown spots are safe, gentle and require minimal downtime.

Emsculpt NEO
What is Emsculpt NEO?
Emsculpt NEO® is a great solution for individuals who want to change the shape of their body without surgery. The treatment targets and reduces fat cells to produce rapid and long-lasting results by shaping muscles, reducing fat and contouring your body.
Emsculpt NEO FAQs
Emsculpt NEO relies on radiofrequency (RF) waves and high intensity electromagnetic (HIFEM) waves to target fat cells, recontour the body and strengthen muscle tone.
The treatment can produce a variety of benefits that patients can enjoy for years ahead. Generally, Emsculpt NEO targets the abdomen, arms, legs, calves, and buttocks. Overall benefits can include:
- A limited recovery period and reduced downtime
- Safe treatment without anesthesia
- No need for cuts, incisions or scarring
- A rapid procedure that typically only takes 30 minutes
- Elimination of targeted fat cells for good
- Reshaping and restrengthening of muscles
Generally speaking, Emsculpt NEO is a quick, easy and pain-free process. The overall experience lasts about 30 minutes. We recommend that a patient receives at least four individual treatments. However, each comprehensive plan will vary based on a patient’s individual needs.
During the process, a Riverchase provider will place a configured paddle over the skin of the targeted areas for the full length of the session.
Another great aspect of Emsculpt NEO is that there should be no downtime following the treatment. Patients typically return to work, regular activities and exercise the same day or the following day.
Results from Emsculpt NEO are not visible immediately after the procedure. Optimal results typically begin appearing within three to four months. For the best results, we recommend that patients receive four separate treatments over a set period of time determined by your treatment plan. With a balanced diet and proper exercise, the results from Emsculpt NEO can last for many years.

VelaShape III
What is VelaShape III?
At Riverchase, we use VelaShape III® to provide treatment options for a variety of conditions including:
- neck rejuvenation
- body contouring
- cellulite reduction
VelaShape III combines bipolar radiofrequency, infrared light energy and mechanical massage/vacuum to safely and effectively improve sagging skin in the chin and neck region. The VelaShape III treats the sagging skin along the chin, commonly referred to as “double chin,” and contours the area to create a beautiful, natural neckline. With this treatment, patients see a smoother, thinner and more contoured chin and neck.
VelaShape III works by reaching a specifically targeted temperature within the skin, causing fibroblasts in the dermis to promote new collagen production and increase in the metabolism of fat. This increases the metabolism of stored energy, increases lymphatic drainage and reduces the size of the actual fat cells and fat chambers. Treatments are recommended every other week, with three to five sessions delivering optimal results.
VelaShape III FAQs
Good candidates for VelaShape include patients who are normal weight or slightly overweight but wish to minimize the appearance of cellulite, slightly reduce the size of the abdomen, thighs, or upper arms, or decrease the size of specific fat deposits to produce a smoother contour throughout the treatment area. Patients with loose skin on the arms, abdomen, neck, buttocks, knees, saddlebags, flanks or thighs may be good candidates for this treatment depending on the severity of skin laxity.
While VelaShape has been approved by the FDA for both male and female patients of any age or skin type, patients should be reasonably healthy and should understand that VelaShape is not a weight-loss treatment, is not permanent, and should be used primarily for skin tightening and re-contouring once a healthy weight has already been achieved through diet and exercise. Once the desired results are achieved, they may be maintained with booster treatments every three to six months.
It depends on your lifestyle. In most cases, results will last for three to six months before a touch-up appointment becomes desirable.
Patients who exercise regularly, remain hydrated, and eat healthily to maintain a healthy weight can see results that last as long as six months or more.
While VelaShape is quite safe, it’s not recommended for patients who are pregnant or photosensitive or for those with diabetes or an anticoagulant condition. It should also be delayed if your skin is currently broken or irritated in the treatment area.
Unfortunately, no. VelaShape is used primarily to smooth out the contours of a body that is already at a healthy weight. Before beginning treatment, it’s ideal to use a healthy diet and exercise to reach a weight that you’re satisfied with and can maintain.
VelaShape is a safe procedure. The most common complication is unexpected scabbing or blistering for a few patients, primarily in those with looser skin, but this is relatively uncommon. There is also a slight chance of burning if the hand piece has improper contact with the skin.
No, in fact, it tightens the skin. Any treatment that removes fat can theoretically lead to loose skin.
Unlike liposuction, however, VelaShape gently tightens the skin as it removes the fat, which reduces the risk of loose skin. The risk is further lowered if your skin elasticity is already good. The best results are seen when combined with Ultrashape Power, which kills fat, while VelaShape tightens the loose skin and smooths out the contour irregularities.
VelaShape is useful practically anywhere where you have loose skin and or small amounts of excess fat or cellulite that you’d like to reduce. Most commonly, it’s used to smooth or tighten loose skin on the hips, neck, saddlebags, knees, thighs, upper arms, abdomen or buttocks.
Consultation
Before you decide on VelaShape, it’s important to go through a consultation with your Riverchase provider to determine if the treatment is right for you. At your consultation, you’ll be able to point out the problem areas that bother you and talk about your goals for the procedure as well as any medical or aesthetic concerns that you may have.
The consultant will examine the extent of the problematic fat deposits and cellulite as well as other relevant factors like skin elasticity and tissue density. After the examination, it will be decided if VelaShape is an appropriate options for your case. At that time you’ll also be able to discuss whether other treatments may be a good option for you.
Treatment: What to Expect
VelaShape can smooth your body, and even reduce the circumference of the treatment area for better-fitting clothes and a trimmer appearance. Its ability to tighten loose skin makes it an excellent treatment when used in combination with permanent fat reduction devices such as CoolSculpting.
Once it’s time to begin the procedure, you’ll be asked to lie down on a table. A special lotion will be applied to the treatment area so the VelaShape device will glide smoothly. The appropriate handpiece will then be selected for the area. As it moves evenly across your skin, the VelaShape handpiece will pull your tissue closer to the machine’s energy source using a pulsed vacuum. The radiofrequency energy improves collagen and elasticity and the infrared light heats the targeted fat cells, increasing their metabolism and leading to smoother skin and an overall reduction in the appearance of fat and cellulite in the treatment area.
While results are often visible after a single treatment, most patients are best served by a course of three to five treatments given once weekly. Once the desired result has been achieved, most patients return two to four times per year to maintain their smooth new look.
Since VelaShape is completely noninvasive, recovery is easy. In most cases, the treatment area will feel slightly warm and turn pink for a few hours after the procedure before returning to normal. In a few cases, there may also be small amounts of swelling or bruising. Patients may return to work and regular activities immediately following the treatment. There is no need for anesthesia and no surgical incisions are made, therefore there is no risk of surgical scars. VelaShape III is safe on all skin types and causes no additional risk to the epidermis, or uppermost layer of the skin.

Juvederm
What Is Juvéderm?
Juvéderm® is the #1 selling collection of hyaluronic acid fillers in the United States. Each product in the Juvéderm collection of fillers adds volume to a different area of the face without surgery. All Juvéderm fillers are made of a smooth, crystal-clear gel that is administered by injection in your aesthetic provider’s office.
The Juvéderm collection of fillers is made from hyaluronic acid (HA). HA is a natural substance in the skin that delivers nutrients, helps the skin retain moisture and softness, and adds volume. Each product in the Juvéderm collection of fillers is made from a modified form of HA.
What to Expect
Your aesthetic provider at Riverchase will take your medical history and provide a facial analysis. Be prepared to discuss your aesthetic areas of concern. This is not a surgical treatment. Actual treatment with Juvéderm injectable gels can take 15 minutes to 60 minutes, depending on which area of your face is being treated.
Juvéderm injectable gels labeled with “XC” contain pain-reducing lidocaine to help manage pain or discomfort during the injection. You may also ask your aesthetic provider about a topical numbing cream or ice to help further minimize discomfort.
You will see results immediately. Results may last as long as one to two years, depending on the formula used.
Available Treatments at Riverchase
Juvéderm Volbella XC
Hyaluronic acid fillers are ideal for natural-looking lip augmentation and the fine lines that often appear around the mouth. Volbella is a unique hyaluronic acid filler that is specifically designed for this high-movement area.
Juvéderm Volbella XC with Lidocaine was developed with VYCROSS technology to deliver a natural look and feel, with results proven to last up to a year. Because it also includes a local anesthetic, you will find it makes the treatment process much more comfortable.
Volbella is a smooth gel that can increase volume in the lips and smooth lines around the mouth area. This product can provide natural appearing results because of the smoothness of the molecular formula. The filler has been specifically designed to be placed in areas that are constantly moving such as the lips and mouth area.
Results: While many fillers only last up to six months when injected into the lips, several trials and our own patients have shown that Juvéderm Volbella XC tends to last up to about 12 months, on average.
Juvéderm Vollure XC
Juvéderm® Vollure XC injectable gel is a smooth, clear, colorless hyaluronic acid (HA) gel that contains a small quantity of local anesthetic (lidocaine). HA is a naturally occurring sugar found in the human body. The role of HA in the skin is to help retain natural moisture and softness.
As you age, wrinkles develop on your face, and nasolabial folds may become more visible. Juvéderm Vollure XC is designed to temporarily reverse signs of aging by adding subtle volume to facial wrinkles and folds (such as nasolabial folds) and restoring a smoother appearance to the face in patients over the age of 21.
What to Expect: The lidocaine in the gel improves the comfort of the injection by reducing sensitivity to pain.
Results: The results of a Juvéderm Vollure XC clinical study showed that the product will temporarily smooth and reduce the appearance of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds such as nasolabial folds. Juvéderm Vollure XC is manufactured using VYCROSS technology to give a specialized smooth-gel filler that produces long-lasting results for up to 18 months at the treatment site.
Juvéderm Voluma XC
Juvéderm Voluma XC injectable gel is the first and only filler FDA-approved to instantly add volume to the cheek area. It gives you a subtle lift, helping to restore contour and a more youthful profile, for up to two years in patients over the age of 21. It’s different than Juvéderm XC and works on a different area of the face.
Learn More About Juvéderm Voluma XC
Juvéderm Ultra XC
Juvéderm Ultra XC injectable gel is a colorless hyaluronic acid gel that contains a small quantity of local anesthetic (lidocaine) and is injected into facial tissue to smooth wrinkles and folds, especially around the nose and mouth. HA is a naturally occurring sugar found in the human body. The role of hyaluronic acid in the skin is to deliver nutrients, hydrate the skin by holding in water, and to act as a cushioning agent. The role of lidocaine is to reduce the pain associated with injections into the skin.
Juvéderm Ultra Plus XC is a thicker version of this filler that is used to correct more severe facial wrinkles, deep nasolabial folds (the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth), and marionette lines (the lines from the corners of your mouth down toward your jawline) and to fill in depressed areas in the cheeks. Juvéderm Ultra Plus XC can be injected deeper into the skin than the lighter dermal fillers for more intense correction.
Results: Juvéderm Ultra XC injectable gel will help to smooth moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. Most patients need one treatment to achieve optimal wrinkle smoothing, and the results last about nine to 12 months.
Juvéderm XC
Juvéderm® XC is an injectable filler that contains a small quantity of local anesthetic (lidocaine) and is injected into facial tissue to restore volume loss in your face from the natural aging process. As we age, our face loses volume and we begin to see facial folds and wrinkles, better know as your smile lines, or parentheses, that run from the bottom of your nose to the corner of your mouth (nasolabial folds). It can be used to soften wrinkles and add volume to the lips.
Juvéderm® XC is made up of hyaluronic acid, a substance normally found in our skin and muscles that helps to add volume and hydration. Juvéderm® XC restores volume creating a smooth, natural, youthful look.
Juvéderm XC is injected into the mid to deep dermis to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. The hyaluronic acid, once injected into the skin helps to create new collagen, helping to decrease the appearance of facial wrinkles, and it helps to stop the breakdown of existing collagen.
What to Expect: Your dermatologist or other medical provider will use a very fine needle to inject the Juvéderm XC into the mid to deep dermis of the skin. The injection process takes about 15 minutes, though your full consultation make take longer. We typically allow enough time for you to talk with your doctor prior to treatment. You may experience some discomfort during and after the injection. The smooth consistency gel of Juvéderm XC allows your doctor to administer it easily and smoothly. In addition, Juvéderm XC is injected directly into the skin using a fine needle to reduce injection discomfort. Your doctor may choose to numb (anesthetize) the treatment area to further minimize discomfort.
Possible side effects: Most side effects are mild or moderate in nature, and their duration is short, typically lasting seven days or less. The most common side effects include, but are not limited to, temporary injections site reactions such as redness, pain/tenderness, firmness, swelling, lumps/bumps, bruising, itching and discoloration. As with all skin injection procedures, there is a risk of infection.
Juvederm Volux XC
Juvéderm® Volux™ XC is an injectable gel used to improve moderate to severe loss of jawline definition.
Skinvive
Skinvive™ is the first and only hyaluronic acid microdroplet injectable indicated to improve skin smoothness of the cheeks and hydrate from within, without a series of treatments.
Restylane
What is Restylane?
The Restylane® line of products from Galderma is specially formulated to act like your body’s own naturally occurring hyaluronic acid, restoring volume to your skin. With more than 30 million treatments worldwide and counting, this popular line of fillers provides natural-looking results.
FAQs about Restylane Products
To ensure a safe procedure, your Riverchase provider will talk to you about your medical history to determine if you are an appropriate candidate for treatment. You should not use products within the Restylane family if:
- You have severe allergies with a history of severe reactions (anaphylaxis)
- You are allergic to lidocaine or to any of the gram-positive bacterial proteins used to make hyaluronic acid
- You are prone to bleeding or have been diagnosed with a bleeding disorder
As with all skin injection procedures, there is a risk of infection. The most common side effects include injection-related reactions such as swelling, bruising, redness, pain, tenderness, lump formation, itching at the injection site, and impaired hand function. These effects generally disappear within one week after injection. Other potential side effects can occur. You should discuss the potential treatment risks with your healthcare professional.
One of the risks with using this product is unintentional injection into a blood vessel. The chances of this happening are very small, but if it does happen, the complications can be serious and may be permanent. These complications, which have been reported for facial injections, can include vision abnormalities, blindness, stroke, temporary scabs or permanent scarring of the skin.
What to Expect
Some people may experience mild discomfort during the treatment. Many Restylane products contain an integrated local anesthetic, lidocaine, to provide you with a more comfortable treatment experience. You and your Riverchase provider can decide whether additional pain relief is needed.
Your doctor will cleanse and prepare the area(s) to be treated. The clear gel in the Restylane family of products is injected into the treatment area(s) using an ultra-fine needle to create the desired aesthetic effect. After injection, he/she may gently massage the treated area.
A treatment with Restylane doesn’t usually take long. A touch-up treatment is sometimes performed after the initial treatment to optimize your results. Talk to your healthcare professional to learn more about the treatment procedure.
After your initial treatment, you can refresh your look with a follow-up treatment, as determined by your healthcare professional. Additional treatments can help refresh the immediate results of your initial treatment.

It can also be used to add volume under and around the eyes. Additionally, Restylane and Restylane Silk are FDA-approved for lip enhancement in patients over the age of 21, and are uniquely formulated to give your lips fullness and definition.
Restylane and Restylane-L are the only FDA-approved products for lip enhancement in patients over 21 years, and are uniquely formulated to give your lips fullness and definition. Restylane is injected into the mid to deep facial tissue to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds.
Results: Restylane is the world’s best-selling dermal filler. It is well tolerated, nonsurgical and long lasting (usually around six months). In a clinical study of subjects treated with Restylane, blinded evaluators reported still seeing improvement in 95% of subjects 18 months after initial injection. (Subjects were retreated at 4.5 and/or 9 months.)
Restylane Defyne + Restylane Refyne
As we age, our skin loses elasticity and the lines that run from the sides of the nose toward the corners of the mouth (nasolabial folds) and the lines that run from the corner of your mouth toward the chin (marionette lines) become more pronounced. Restylane® Defyne and Restylane® Refyne are crafted with XpresHAn Technology™ to correct these deepened lines.
The unique cross-linking of the gel in Restylane Defyne and Restylane Refyne are designed to help support your facial expressions for natural-looking results and natural movement. They are the only fillers on the market that have been shown in a clinical study to help maintain movement and expressions.
Restylane Defyne and Restylane Refyne are injected into the mid to deep facial tissue to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds. + Results … In a clinical study, subjects were evaluated based on the perception of the naturalness of facial expressions in motion after one month of Restylane® Defyne and Restylane® Refyne optimal treatment. As a result, 97% were satisfied with their treatment results and would do the treatment again, and 95% would recommend the products to a friend.
Restylane Lyft
Over time, the natural fat begins to deteriorate, resulting in sagging skin, more prominent wrinkles and a reduction of volume. Restylane® Lyft, formerly known as Perlane-L®, is an injectable hyaluronic acid gel used to correct volume loss and treat wrinkles in the face and hands. Through non-surgical injections, Restylane Lyft is designed to add fullness to the cheeks, midface area, and the backs of the hands, creating a more natural-looking, youthful appearance.
Restylane Lyft is injected into the skin to restore volume and correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds, also known as smile lines).
The effects of Restylane Lyft generally last about six months as it gradually disappears from the body.
Restylane Silk
Restylane® Silk lip enhancer is a refined smooth gel formulation that creates subtle, natural-looking results. Specifically designed for precise lip definition and line control, Restylane Silk brings a higher level of artistry to your result with a unique silky smooth formulation of hyaluronic acid allowing for a natural shape.
The lips and the lines around the mouth, like other areas of the face, show signs of aging as you get older. This often results in lip thinning, lost shape and an increase in vertical lines above the lip. Restylane Silk is designed specifically to provide natural-looking results in these particular areas by using smaller, smoother hyaluronic acid particles than those used in other Restylane products.
Results: In a clinical study, subjects were treated with Restylane Silk or no treatment, the subjects reported visible improvement in their lip fullness. As a result of the study, 98% of participants reported visible improvement in lip fullness 14 days after injection, and 77% reported visible improvement in lip fullness six months after injection for treatments to upper and lower lips.
Sculptra
What is Sculptra?
Sculptra™ by Galderma is approved by the FDA for facial fat loss or lipoatrophy. The loss of fat under the skin can result in sunken cheeks, indentations and hollow eyes. Sculptra is a safe, synthetic, biocompatible material that is injected below the surface of the skin in the area of fat loss. It provides a gradual and significant increase in skin thickness improving the appearance of folds and sunken areas.
Sculptra FAQs
Sculptra is made of poly-L-lactic acid, and it was designed to help patients who have experienced lipoatrophy, which is the loss of facial fat. Sculptra can be used to help soften wrinkles, and it is used to replace large amounts of lost volume in the face. Along with helping to boost collagen production, Sculptra is designed to help thicken skin, which provides a fuller looking face and reduces the appearance of wrinkles.
The injectable volumizing treatment stimulates the build-up of the body’s own collagen and increases skin thickness to replenish face fullness. Sculptra can help promote the production of the body’s natural collagen in the treated areas, restoring lost facial volume and smoothing out fine lines and wrinkles, giving the face a fuller, younger look. Visible results will appear within the first few treatments.
The results are subtle and happen gradually over time. Typically three sessions are needed over a few months. The results can last for up to two years.
Sculptra is a safe and effective way to improve the appearance of folds and sunken in areas of the skin. The main component of Sculptra is poly-L-lactic acid, which is a biocompatible (meaning it does not harm the body), biodegradable (can be broken down by the body) material that is an FDA-approved treatment for the restoration of the signs of facial fat loss.
What to Expect
You will have a consultation with your Riverchase provider to answer questions and prepare you for your treatment.
- Makeup should be removed.
- The area to be injected will be cleaned with antiseptic.
- You and your healthcare provider will make the decision if topical or local anesthetic is needed.
Sculptra is injected in small amounts using a very fine needle. Your healthcare provider may use a topical or local anesthetic to numb the area. An ice pack should be applied to the area to help reduce swelling. After the treatment, the area should be thoroughly massaged to distribute the product evenly.
Immediately following the treatment session, swelling, redness, pain and bruising may occur in the treated area. These signs may go away in a few hours but should not last more than a few days. Follow the post-care instructions your healthcare provider gives you. The treated area should be massaged for several days after the treatment, several times a day. For the first 24 hours after treatment, an ice pack should be applied to the treated area to help reduce swelling. Avoid putting ice directly on your skin and instead, wrap the ice in a cloth. Avoid excessive sun and UV lamp exposure until any initial redness and swelling have resolved. + Makeup may be applied after treatment if there are no complications. There is little or no downtime with Sculptra treatment. Most patients feel comfortable going back to normal activities after treatment.
The most common side effects from Sculptra occur at the injection site such as bleeding, tenderness or pain, swelling, redness or bruising. These side effects generally last three to 17 days.
Fraxel Laser
What is Fraxel Laser?
Fraxel® laser is the original fractional laser treatment that works below the skin’s surface to address imperfections like fine lines, wrinkles, scarring, age spots and visible photo aging. Fraxel laser is used for:
- Hand rejuvenation
- Skin rejuvenation
- To treat scars and stretch marks
With Fraxel, there are no scars, and treatments can be done with minimal to no downtime. Patients can see an improvement in the wrinkling and texture of the skin as well as an improvement in pigmentation.
Fraxel stimulates your skin’s natural collagen production, rejuvenating the skin below the surface to help smooth the creases and pockets that cause wrinkles and scars. Several treatments are recommended for maximum results, but each treatment has an effect, and the benefits are cumulative.
Fraxel Laser FAQs
Fraxel uses fractional laser technology to create thousands of small, controlled wounds to the skin, triggering the production of collagen and elastin. This improves the overall texture of the skin. Fraxel is suitable for various skin types and requires minimal downtime.
You can expect to see initial improvements within three to seven days after treatment, but full results take several weeks to develop. Multiple sessions may be needed for exceptional results.
What to Expect
At Riverchase, sessions typically last around 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the size of the treatment area. Before the procedure, your Riverchase provider will apply a topical anesthetic to reduce discomfort.
During treatment, you may feel a mild heating or prickling sensation as the device goes across your skin, but most patients find it tolerable. Immediately after treatment, the area may look and feel like you got a bad sunburn, with red, swollen, sensitive skin that flakes off. These side effects last a few days to a week. The amount of downtime needed will depend on the size of the area treated and the intensity of the treatment. There is minimal discomfort after treatment and patients may apply cosmetics immediately. The risks of scarring or skin discoloration are extremely low.
Juvederm Voluma XC
Juvéderm Voluma XC is injected into the mid to deep dermis to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. It is also used for hand rejuvenation. The hyaluronic acid, once injected into the skin helps to create new collagen, helping to decrease the appearance of facial wrinkles, and it helps to stop the breakdown of existing collagen.
What to Expect
Your Riverchase dermatologist will use a very fine needle to inject the Juvéderm into the mid to deep dermis of the skin. It is clinically proven to last up to two years with optimal treatment. You should be able to resume your normal activities after 24 hours of down time.
Results
Juvéderm® will help to restore volume to your cheeks for a more youthful appearance. This filler can greatly improve the overall appearance of the face, with effects that can last up to two years.
Before & After Photos

Radiesse
What is Radiesse?
Radiesse® volumizing filler is an injectable calcium hydroxylapatite wrinkle filler that works by immediately restoring facial volume to smooth out the signs of aging. Once injected, it immediately adds volume. Over time, Radiesse begins to stimulate the production of the body’s natural collagen for results that may last up to a year or more in many patients.
This soft tissue filler is also frequently used to contour cheekbones, chins and to plump the hands. It can add instant improvement for:
- Smile lines
- Marionette lines
Pre-jowl folds - Corners of the mouth
- Chin wrinkles
- Backs of the hands
Radiesse FAQs
Once injected, Radiesse volumizing filler plumps the skin and replenishes volume lost over time for a more refreshed look. With its patented microsphere technology, it starts a process called collagenesis, stimulating your body to produce new collagen and encouraging collagen to grow around the injection area. Ultimately the body absorbs the product and leaves behind the natural collagen for long-lasting results. Radiesse dermal filler helps your body create its own naturally younger look, setting a new standard in facial contouring and augmentation.
You’ll see the results right away, and these results may last up to a year or more for many patients. The long-lasting effects of Radiesse dermal filler can reduce the need for retreatment, which saves you time and money compared with other fillers.
Radiesse dermal filler has been clinically tested extensively for years, with excellent safety and efficacy results. It has received CE mark certification (meaning it complies with the safety and performance standards set by the European Union for medical devices), two FDA approvals, and a number of FDA clearances. Radiesse dermal filler is made from a biocompatible substance that’s identical to what’s naturally found in the body. There’s virtually no risk of allergic reaction, and there have been few side effects reported in clinical trials or by patients.
To enhance the youthful fullness of aging hands, Radiesse is an FDA-approved dermal filler that corrects volume loss in the back of the hands.
Fillers may be used to improve the appearance of aging hands by filling in concavities and minimizing the skeletonized look that hands can acquire over time. Fillers containing hyaluronic acid (Juvederm) or calcium hydroxyapatite (Radiesse) offer a simple solution with a dramatic improvement to the look of the aging hands. Results often last for as long as a year, sometimes longer.
Hand rejuvenation also consists of improving the color and texture of the skin. Patients often get pigmented lesions and sun spots removed with the Fraxel laser to improve the texture and wrinkling of the skin of the hands.
The overall result of the process is natural-looking, fuller, youthful hands, with even pigmentation and skin texture.
What to Expect
At Riverchase, Radiesse volumizing filler is injected under the skin in a safe and quick procedure that can be done over your lunch hour. Radiesse is also FDA-approved to mix with lidocaine (an anesthetic), which makes the procedure much more comfortable. In fact, in a clinical study, 90% of patients treated reported significant pain reduction when injected with Radiesse mixed with lidocaine.
