About Dr. Patel

Vandan Patel, DO, joins Riverchase Dermatology with specialized training in general and surgical dermatology. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine after completing his undergraduate studies in Biological Sciences at the University of Connecticut. He went on to complete his transitional internship at Hartford HealthCare Manchester Memorial Hospital before completing his dermatology residency at Hackensack Meridian Health Palisades Medical Center.

Dr. Patel provides comprehensive care for patients of all ages, treating a wide range of skin, hair, and nail conditions. He has a special interest in the early detection and surgical treatment of skin cancer while helping patients effectively manage chronic skin conditions and maintain lifelong skin health. He is committed to building lasting relationships with his patients by delivering compassionate, personalized, and evidence-based care tailored to each individual’s needs. Staying current with the latest advancements in dermatology is a priority for Dr. Patel, allowing him to provide the highest quality care and treatment options for his patients.

Throughout his medical training, Dr. Patel remained actively involved in dermatologic research, presenting award-winning case studies and contributing to peer-reviewed publications. He is passionate about helping patients feel comfortable and confident in their own skin, whether through early skin cancer detection, treatment of chronic skin conditions, or patient education that empowers individuals to make informed decisions about their skin health.

Originally from the Northeast, Dr. Patel has lived in several regions of the country throughout his education and medical training before beginning his career in South Florida. He and his wife are excited to become part of the local community. Outside of the office, Dr. Patel enjoys golfing, playing tennis, traveling, cheering on his favorite New York sports teams, and spending quality time with family and friends. He also looks forward to giving back through skin cancer awareness, patient education, and community outreach initiatives that improve access to dermatologic care.
