About Dr. McMeekin
Thomas O. McMeekin, MD, FAAD, FASLMS, is a board-certified dermatologist dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centered dermatologic care. He believes in partnering with his patients to develop personalized treatment plans that promote healthy skin throughout every stage of life.
Dr. McMeekin earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology, with distinction, from Stanford University before receiving his Doctor of Medicine, with honors, from the University of Rochester School of Medicine. He completed medical training at Beth Israel Hospital (Harvard University), followed by a Special Residency in Medicine at Strong Memorial Hospital, University of Rochester. He completed his dermatology residency training at Massachusetts General Hospital and Lahey Clinic, both Harvard University-affiliated teaching hospitals.
Dr. McMeekin provides comprehensive medical dermatology services for patients of all ages and treats a wide range of skin conditions, including skin cancer, acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, disorders of the skin, hair, and nails, as well as other common and complex dermatologic conditions. He also has extensive experience in laser medicine and remains committed to advancing the specialty through clinical research, physician education, and professional training.
In addition to caring for patients, Dr. McMeekin served as Clinical Professor Emeritus of Medicine, Dermatology, and Pediatrics at the University of Rochester School of Medicine. He has authored 22 scientific publications, including a book chapter on laser surgery, and has participated as faculty in more than 100 educational courses in laser medicine and dermatologic surgery. His dedication to education and innovation has helped advance the field of dermatology while mentoring physicians throughout their careers.
Dr. McMeekin is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. He is committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care and helping patients achieve and maintain healthy skin for life.
