About Shanna M. Miranti

Shanna M. Miranti, PA-C, MPAS, is originally from Ormond Beach, Fla. She received her bachelor’s degree in biology from Loyola University in New Orleans. She completed her physician assistant training at the University of Florida College of Medicine, where she graduated with a Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) degree in 2002. Upon graduation, she began practicing dermatology in Jacksonville, Fla. Shanna was the first provider to join Dr. Jaffe at Riverchase Dermatology in 2003.

Shanna Miranti specializes in general dermatology for patients of all ages. Her scope of practice includes acne treatment, skin cancer screenings, mole evaluations, common dermatologic conditions, as well as cosmetic laser surgery. Like all the PAs at Riverchase Dermatology, she has received specialized training in surgical assisting / suturing for Mohs surgery for skin cancer. She performs biopsies, cryosurgery, minor surgical procedures, and she also has prescriptive privileges.

She frequently gives lectures nationally on multiple dermatology topics to dermatology physician assistants, nurses and physicians. She is a promotional speaker for Warner Chilcott Pharmaceutical and Medicis Pharmaceuticals.

With extensive experience in laser surgery, Mrs. Miranti has treated hundreds of patients for a variety of conditions including uneven pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles, acne scarring and the improvement of surgical scars. She also treats a variety of vascular conditions with a pulsed dye laser. Mrs. Miranti utilizes additional devices for the removal of age spots and unwanted tattoos.
