About Giovanna Raffa

Giovanna Raffa, MBS, MMS, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant at Riverchase Dermatology with a longstanding passion for dermatologic care. Her experience in the field began as a medical assistant, where she developed a strong clinical foundation in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology before continuing her education to become a Physician Assistant.

Giovanna provides care across general, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology and is passionate about helping patients achieve healthy, confident skin. She emphasizes patient education, prevention, sun protection, and early detection while taking the time to ensure patients feel heard, informed, and involved in their care.

Giovanna shares a special history with Riverchase Dermatology. She first experienced the practice as a patient and later became a member of the clinical team as a medical assistant before attending PA school. Returning to Riverchase as a provider brings her journey full circle, and she is excited to continue growing in the field she loves while caring for patients in the community.

Outside of the clinic, Giovanna enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, trying new restaurants, and traveling. She also enjoys giving back through skin cancer screenings, particularly in underserved communities.
