About Lauren Carson

Lauren Carson, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant at Riverchase Dermatology with a strong foundation in both medical and procedural dermatology. She brings diverse clinical experience from emergency medicine, infectious disease, and internal medicine, allowing her to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care.

Lauren evaluates and treats a wide range of skin conditions, including acne, eczema, psoriasis, actinic keratoses, and skin cancer. She performs dermatologic procedures such as biopsies, cryotherapy, and wound care, and emphasizes patient education to support prevention, early detection, and long-term skin health. Her background in emergency medicine enhances her clinical efficiency, diagnostic accuracy, and ability to manage both routine and complex cases.

She is especially passionate about skin cancer prevention and early detection and is committed to helping patients feel confident and informed in their care. Lauren values building lasting relationships with her patients and strives to create a supportive, compassionate environment where every patient feels heard.

Lauren recently relocated to Florida and is excited to serve the local community while continuing her career in dermatology.

Outside of the clinic, Lauren enjoys an active lifestyle. She has completed two marathons and enjoys Pilates, spending time outdoors, and visiting family in the Pacific Northwest, where she enjoys skiing and hiking. She is also passionate about giving back and has participated in medical outreach through the Emory Farmworker Project, providing care to underserved communities.
