  • Dr. Jaffe is the founder and visionary behind Riverchase Dermatology.  His goal was to have a facility where patients could obtain high level, cutting edge care for all of their dermatologic and cosmetic concerns by well trained and caring providers.  This emphasis on superior patient care is exemplified by having multiple locations for convenience throughout Southwest Florida, prompt appointment availability and utilizing the latest advances in equipment and techniques including MOHS micrographic surgery.  In addition, Dr. Jaffe’s philosophy of treating each patient as if they were a family member has been one of the core values at Riverchase Dermatology.


    Dr Jaffe is originally from New Jersey.  After graduation from Cornell University, he attended UMDNJ where he completed his medical education as well as a residency in Dermatology including extensive cosmetic surgery training.  Dr. Jaffe continued his studies in Tampa, where he completed a MOHS Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology fellowship. He is Board Certified by the American Academy of Dermatology.

    Dr. Jaffe is a member of the American College of MOHS Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology, The American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and The Collier County Medical Society.  He has lectured at major conferences and has published numerous articles in leading Dermatology journals.  He has also authored many book chapters relating to the field of Dermatology.

  • Dr. Davidson is originally from Wilmington, Delaware.  After receiving her Bachelor of Science degree from University of Virginia in Charlottesville, V.A., she attended Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA.  Dr. Davidson completed her medical internship at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia and Dermatology Residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.  She joined the team at Riverchase Dermatology in July 2005.

    Dr. Davidson specializes in General Dermatology, Dermatologic Surgery, and Cosmetic Dermatology. Dr Davidson is a member of The American Academy of Dermatology, The American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, The American Medical Association, The American Society of Cosmetic Dermatology and Aesthetic Surgery, The American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, and The Collier County Medical Society.


    Dr. Davidson has had extensive training in the latest cosmetic procedures. Her Cosmetic specialties include laser resurfacing with The Fraxel laser and The Sciton Profile. Other laser expertise includes the treatment of brown spots and rosacea with the Sciton BBL. In addition, Dr Davidson utilizes advanced techniques with Botox Cosmetic, Restylane, Perlane, Juvederm, Radiesse, and Sculptra to perform non-invasive facial sculpting. Dr. Davidson specializes in the volumalift, which utilizes injectables to contour, shape, and lift sagging/loose skin. Dr. Davidson is committed to superior patient education and utilizing the most appropriate procedures and techniques to make each patient’s experience first-class.

  • Dr. Kagen is originally from New York. After graduation from Columbia University, he completed his medical internship at Yale-New Haven Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut. He then completed his residency at Case-Western
    Reserve University, Department of Dermatology in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Kagen received his fellowship as a Clinical Scholar at The Laboratory for Investigative Dermatology at Rockefeller University in New York. Dr. Kagen moved to Naples, Florida in November of 2006 to join Riverchase Dermatology. Dr. Kagen is a member of The American Academy of Dermatology and The International Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.

    Dr. Kagen specializes in General Dermatology and Dermatologic surgery.

    In an effort to provide the most convenient dermatologic care, Dr Kagen is available to see patients on select Saturdays in the Fort Myers location.

    After graduation from the University of Michigan, Dr. Kontos received his graduate and medical degrees from Wayne State University.  He then went on to complete an internship at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan.  Dr. Kontos completed fellowships in Clinical Research and Phototherapy and Epidermolysis Bullosa within the Henry Ford Health System.  After completing his residency within the Henry Ford Health System Department of Dermatology, Dr. Kontos continued his studies in Tampa, where he completed a Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology fellowship.

    Dr. Kontos is board certified by the American Academy of Dermatology. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Medical Association, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology. 

    Dr. Kontos enjoys participating in sporting activities, salt-water aquarium, traveling, astronomy, guitar, saxophone, home improvements and classical studies. He is a certified scuba diver and is fluent in the Greek language.

    Dr. Cohen has been engaged in the practice of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery for over 38 years, and has been a board certified dermatologist for 35 years. He is currently one of the most experienced Dermatologist in Southwest Florida.

    Dr. Cohen’s dermatologic experience includes general and surgical dermatology, including a special interest in the diagnosis and surgical management of cancer of the skin. His expertise covers the full range of cutaneous diseases including treatment of the hair, the sebaceous glands, the sweat glands and nails. Dr. Cohen has extensive experience in the use of Collagen, Botox, and Restylane as well as other available filler substances.  He is skilled in Sclerotherapy for the treatment of spider veins and the in office removal of varicose veins, utilizing the Ambulatory Phlebectomy Technique. In addition, Dr. Cohen is experienced in other cosmetic procedures including Dermabrasion, Micro Dermabrasion, tattoo removal, split ear repair and acid peels. 

    Dr. Cohen holds memberships in The American Osteopathic Association, The Michigan Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons, The American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, The American Academy of Dermatology, The Florida Medical Association, The Collier County Medical Society, and the Florida Society of Dermatology.

  • Shanna McDonough Miranti is originally from Ormond Beach, Florida. She received her bachelor's degree in Biology from Loyola University, New Orleans. She completed her PA training at the University of Florida College of Medicine, where she graduated with a Masters of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) degree in 2002. Upon graduation, she began practicing dermatology in Jacksonville, FL. Shanna joined Riverchase Dermatology in 2003.

    Shanna Miranti specializes in general dermatology; including acne treatment, skin cancer screenings, mole evaluations, and rashes, as well as cosmetic laser surgery.

    Shanna frequently lectures nationally on multiple dermatology topics to Dermatology Physician Assistants, nurses, and physicians. With extensive experience in laser surgery, Mrs. Miranti has treated hundreds of patients with the Fraxel laser for a variety of conditions including uneven pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles, acne scarring, and the treatment of post surgical scars. Shanna also specializes in the treatment of broken capillaries, and conditions such as rosacea, cherry angiomas, and port wine stains with the Candela V-beam, a pulsed dye laser. Mrs. Miranti utilizes the Conbio Medlite IV for the removal of age spots and unwanted tattoos. Mrs. Miranti is a member of the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants, American Academy of Physician Assistants, and Society of Dermatologic Physician Assistants.

  • Sady M. Rego received her bachelor's degree in Biology from University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. She completed her PA training at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida where she graduated with a Masters of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) degree in June of 2001. Upon graduation, she began practicing dermatology in Florida.


    Mrs. Rego is a member of the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants, American Academy of Physician Assistants, and Society of Dermatologic Physician Assistants.  Mrs. Rego started with Riverchase Dermatology in February of 2005.
    Sady specializes in general dermatology; including skin cancer screenings, mole evaluations, and rashes.

  • Elizabeth Bethea received her bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Science from the University of Florida. Beth taught high school physics for two years in the Tampa area before returning to get her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) from The University of Florida College of Medicine. Beth joined Riverchase Dermatology in August 2006.


    Ms. Bethea is a member of the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants, American Academy of Physician Assistants, and Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. 


    Ms. Bethea specializes in general dermatology and cosmetic laser surgery.

    She treats pigmentation irregularities including brown spots, melasma, broken blood vessels and flushing/rosacea. Beth utilizes the most appropriate laser for an individual’s concerns including the Sciton BBL, the Candela V-Beam, and/or the Conbio Medlite IV in addition to the Fraxel Laser and the Sciton Profile for resurfacing fine lines and wrinkles and revitalizing skin’s overall tone and texture.  Beth also specializes in laser tattoo removal.

    In an effort to provide the most convenient dermatologic care, Beth Bethea is available to see patients on select Saturdays in the Fort Myers location.
