Aton M. Holzer, MD, FAAD, FACMS is a Board-Certified Dermatologist and Fellowship-Trained Mohs Micrographic and Reconstructive Surgeon.

Dr. Holzer graduated summa cum laude from Yeshiva University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He continued his studies at Weill Medical College of Cornell University where he obtained his Doctor of Medicine with Honors in Reseach, and earned the Dean William Mecklenburg Polk Memorial Prize and The “Good Physician” Award.

Dr. Holzer went on to complete an internship in Internal Medicine from Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center, a research track residency in Dermatology from the University of Alabama, and a Fellowship in Mohs/Procedural Dermatology from The Methodist Hospital in Houston. He has publications in the Journal of Investigative Dermatology, the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, Dermatologic Surgery, Archives of Dermatology, and many other academic journals, including the Journal of Immunology and the Journal of Clinical Investigation; he has also authored a textbook chapter and numerous poster presentations in the field.

A New York native, Dr. Holzer made his home in Miami Beach after completing his fellowship training. In August 2015, Dr. Holzer accepted a position to treat patients and teach residents abroad as the director of Mohs Surgery at the Tel-Aviv Sourasky Medical Center, and relocated his family of eight to Beit Shemesh, Israel, from which he joins us one week each month.
