What is a Physician Assistant?

Physician assistant (PAs) are healthcare professionals licensed to practice medicine with physician supervision. Physician assistants are educated in intensive medical programs. There are currently more than 130 accredited PA programs nationwide. Because of the close working relationship PAs have with physicians, PAs are educated in a medical model designed to complement physician training.

You may rest assured that your care is still managed by the physicians at Riverchase Dermatology and that our staff will work as a team for your dermatologic concerns. We believe that adding a PA to our dermatology and cosmetic surgery practice will enable us to provide you with greater accessibility and prompt care and will greatly benefit our patients. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our office.
